Veil Article
I think that this article got into a deeper topic then just the veils that the Islam women wear. I think that she was probably happy in the aftermath that she got captured and then went on to practice the Koran. She probably wasn't expecting to find what she did, but I guess she heard "a calling". This article also makes me change my opinion about it. I thought that it was required to be worn (article we looked at, noted parts from the koran), but it is really how the muslim women chose to promote themselves in public. It is opposite of most women in American and other Western nations. Instead of having a lot of skin shown while wearing clothing and provoking others, the muslim women wear their burqa, and are looked upon by their intelligence, not their looks/money. I know that for myself, I would never wear one of those things, but I have a much better understanding of why women wear them, and I am pretty confident I won't be as judging when I see them around Philadelphia or even around Ambler.
